After being with Gold for a while, and having a debit card that actually worked, they became United Federal Credit Union. Now if I want to buy something online or in person it's like playing Russian roulette with 5 out of 6 bullets in the chamber. Will my card decline this time? Probably. I love this local credit union. The only problem i have is the hours are very inconvenient for me and they dont work on the weekends and also i wish they had a atm machine outside the building.
I was upset when I first realized that my account had been hacked and money got taken out for $19,700.. The branch and the people within it were able to work through the hurdles of a scam and were able to return the money taken within the week that the money left. I will update when things clear up but as of today I have felt like money that we have in the bank is safer than if we were to have it in cash, I currently dont know that to be true. In the last 8 days, there has been 4 transfers out with a total of $19,700 from my account to a random account. Even with 2FA their system didn't catch it, and the way it seems, the bank isn't taking accountability. I use company because I trust that when things go wrong they will be there for you, i dont think thats the case for Gold at the mom... read more
