Godwin's was founded in 1948 by brothers Gethin and George Godwin, they purchased a modest grocery store at the location of the State street Saginaw store. Over the years, the family watched Saginaw Township grow out and around the store. From this humble beginning evolved one of Michigan's largest furniture and mattress companies. I’ve made multiple purchases from this company and have even recommended others purchase from them; but NEVER again. My most recent purchase was a pricey lift recliner. I made this purchase because life circumstances left me physically unable to get up from a bed or a traditional recliner. Since I NEED this chair I also purchased the extended warranty.
