Godwin's was founded in 1948 by brothers Gethin and George Godwin, they purchased a modest grocery store at the location of the State street Saginaw store. Over the years, the family watched Saginaw Township grow out and around the store. From this humble beginning evolved one of Michigan's largest furniture and mattress companies. My mother purchased a recliner there today and worked with Heather. She was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and since she was the only one working there, she helped load the chair into our car. Very helpful. They also had very good prices and a great selection. Will definitely shop there again.
