Great Place for Shopping I love this mall. It has a ton of upscale designers and retailers and offers it all in a very clean, safe environment. I have been to planty of malls where gangs of rowdy kids roam free, however, you will find none of that here. Be warned--it is very difficult to find parking on the weekends and around the holidays. Great Mall, patrons less so The mall itself is excellent, with a wide variety of book stores, restaurants, and various other conveniences. Some of the patrons and employees here can give off a less than friendly (i.e. arrogant/ditzy) attitude, but it's overlookable. Lots of teenagers running around, can detract from the overall shopping experience, but then again, if you are a teenager, might be a good place to meet someone your own age. Prices are in the higher end, but it's Westchester, what do you expect?
My favorite place to shop! Huge hallways, great selections and designers, this upscale Westchester mall has it all. The stores are spread out, but it's not unmangeable to walk around. The prices are pretty high, but it's for excellent quality designers and merchandise. At one corner is Sax, at another corner is Nordstrom - and the the L-shaped mall leads to the other end which houses the food court. I always enjoy walking around the marble floored, classical music playing atmosphere.
Fancier than a mall, but great shopping Ok, so you may have to get dressed up a little here to fit in - but the quantity of stores, and a few great restaurants will make up for the effort. There's plenty of parking in the garage, or in the garage across the street by Fortunoff. There are some really great stores you usually have to go to the city for (Sephora, Nordstroms, FAO, etc.) and PF Changs is great (although I'd recommend making a reservation, as there are crazy lines after 4:45pm).
