If you enjoy being actively deceived and ripped off, Go for Go Rental. They’ll add a $16/day Fastrak without you asking. They may offer a “discount” on high list prices, then charge all the taxes on their ridiculous list price basis. If you need to drop the car at a different location, ask for the charge. GoRentals in general, but Oakland specifically is second to none when it comes to rent a vehicle. If you don’t want to go through the “traditional hassle” of renting a car this is the way to go.
