I’ve been trying to take over a lease through GM Financial, and the experience has been frustrating. I submitted my credit application over 45 days ago. Since then, I keep getting the same response. They say they are backed up and have not been able to run a basic credit check. A credit check should take days, not over a month and a half. This delay shows poor organization and lack of urgency. I rarely leave negative reviews , but this experience deserves one because it was the opposite of “integrity and transparency.” I was ready to lease a 2026 GMC Terrain Elevation through GM Financial, 36 months / 15,000 miles, with $1,200 due at signing (or alternatively $1,200 applied from trade equity if/when trade/payoff was finalized). This company and their policy is stupid. They won't let you change you due date as many times as you want. They give you maximum times you can talking about 30 calendar days. Other companies don't do that. I should be able to change it whenever I want to whether I'm leasing or not. Can not get extension if I wanted to because I'm "leasing". Customer service is rude. This company needs to be shut down or own by someone. I will be sure to get out of this contract when my lease is up in February.
