Absolutely the worst financial institution I’ve ever dealt with. I got a car loan through this company, and within three months they stopped processing my automatic payments — without notice — and let my account fall behind. Then they threatened repossession. I called immediately, paid what was due, and they still hit my credit for three months of “missed” payments. To avoid further issues, I started mailing checks monthly. Just the worst, I feel sorry for the people that have to work for this company. Wanted to pay off loan for business van, Nope. They made it impossible. They don't accept credit cards. (Nothing in the documents we signed said that!) Then they say use western union. Just shows you how little they know. You can't use business credit card with them! Absolutely terrible company. I cosigned on a loan for my brother and the sheer ineptitude I've witnessed at GM financial is astounding. They took my brother off auto pay, rendered late fees when he didn't pay on time (you know, since they took him off auto pay), then proceeded to destroy my credit without ever even speaking to me or notifying me the account was behind. Absolutely worst loan company out there. These are scammers in business suits. Customer service is even worse and even when you are trying to pay them they are not helpful. Do not use this loan company!!!!! I have been with them for almost five years and have never even so much as have been late on a payment, I had a total loss on my car and after insurance and warranty was still left with a balance of only $3k I called to ask to have my monthly notes lowered considering my insurance just paid off a major chunk of the car so... read more
Worst loan company I’ve ever dealt with. Just like others have stated, I would give 0 stars if I could. I purchased a car on April 24 in Arizona and brought it into California on April 28. When I went to the DMV on May 13 to register it, I found out that GM Financial had not even initiated the title transfer. Apparently, they don’t automatically start this process when a loan is opened, you have to call and request it yourself.
