Our mom has just moved into Glenwood’s memory care facility. We’ve been very please so far. She has stayed at Glenwood before, for respite care, and she’s always enjoyed her stay.
I had a very disappointing interaction with the Director of Glenwood Place, Lisa Hall. Our restaurant reached out to clarify a standard business policy before her order was picked up, and instead of a respectful conversation, we were met with rudeness and hostility. Just like this place has policies in place that are asked to be respected, other businesses do as well. Our Mom had her 100th birthday celebration last weekend. The staff at Glenwood made it such a special celebration: flowers, cake and punch, staff members who stayed present all the time and continually helped! What great hospitality! Thanks so much from all of us.
We visited Glenwood place on Saturday to look at respite options for my mom. I was very pleased that Brooke spoke with mom instead of me during our visit. She was not defensive (as she has been when looking at other care services), and engaged with Brooke. I feel comfortable with this as a respite option in the future.
