The Center was opened in 1997 and provides the Scotia-Glenville Senior Citizens, Inc. with a facility to offer programs and services for the community. The Seniors, Inc. have been in operation for over 25 years in the community and are proud to have this new facility in our town. The center was funded through town support, local grants and fundraising. Nice social activities at the center and day trips.
A wonderful bunch of cheerful, friendly people with a very large variety of activities such as golf. pickleball, bocce, quilting, painting, cards, dinner and a movie, book club, exercise classes, knitting, classes, speakers, van for transportation, senior meal site run by Catholic Charities.
Joining the activities here ,it sure helped me a lot.I am 80 and i enjoy the fun here. We have a great library too.
No senior should sit at home and be lonely. You have access to a a wonderful senior center. The people are friendly and helpful. We have many group social activities , trips,exercise programs, cards, quilting and the list goes on and on. Stop in and pick up one of our senior newsletters. It will give you a better picture.-
