Beautiful care facility. There are some lovely staff members, who have made a huge difference in my loved ones quality of life. The meals are subpar. The quality of food is almost non existent, and the residents are usually denied second portions, if on the rare occasion, the food is edible. The meals consistently change from the menu that's provided to the residents, so they don't know what to expect. There are things that need to be addressed and corrected before I would ever recommend this facility to my loved one.
Prior to her passing, our Mom lived at Glenmore Lodge for the past 16 months. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, quality of care, the variety of activities and the absolutely amazing nursing and care staff at the Megpie South. Mom could not have stayed in a better place and she frequently told us how much she enjoyed living at the Lodge. We can definitely recommend Glenmore.
A huge thanks to Avana , Linda and Heather for all the work to have my mom placed where dad is. The staff is unbelievable, caring and compassionate! Great place and highly recommended, the care my dad has received is top notch and I know my mon will get the same care to. Nice to have peace of mind knowing they will be well taken care of.
Be aware... While the care staff may do their best to look after your loved one, the corporate management of the facility prioritizes profit and liability management over the quality of life of their patients. Drug em up to keep em quite is the unofficial policy around Glenmore Lodge, if you don't like it they will put you on warning that any incident may result in them kicking your loved one out...they will call an ambulance and have them dropped off at the ER in the middle of the night if that's what suites thier mood.
