This facility is a sad excuse for a "rehab"- my uncle was there for 3 weeks after a fall and shoulder dislocation and despite telling us he was getting therapy for his arm and "care"- when we came to pick him up- we found him to be weaker than he has ever been, hardly able to walk, barely eating and his arm did not move- after a week home with us (in another state)- he gained 5 pounds, started moving and even gained more arm strength. I have been here for 2 years and love it. I have the best HHA Sophia who has been with for a month and has lifted my spurts unbelievably and gave me new meaning for the word friend.
My parent has been in independent living in Glenview for few years. The staff is genuinely caring . My parent has caregivers available, and some of them are superstars, as well as nurses who arrange his medications. Another member of the staff, George, who is in charge of building operations, is eager to help with anything at all, is available 24/7, and jumps immediately on any problem to resolve it, and deeply cares about the well-being of residents.
Where to start? There are so many good things to say about Glenview where we have lived for 6 months, but I'll try not to run on. Everyone is friendly and more than competent. The dining room staff are as outstanding as the meals they serve. The maintenance staff under Tammy Kirwan is outstanding and very responsive to every problem we have had. My family member stayed here for a couple weeks and the care was outstanding, the food was good, and the rehab was amazing. Would definitely recommend!
