My boyfriend surprised me with a private stained glass workshop for my birthday and we had the best time! Akram and Fadia were so welcoming, sociable and great instructors. We are so happy with how our stained glass turned out and hope to return to the studio soon!
We had a fantastic time this past weekend at Glass Mosaic Canada. We participated in a 2h Stained glass workshop with Akram and Fadia. They are wonderful instructors with a lifetime of knowledge of their craft. They created a fun and inspiring space to learn and create, and were very thorough but easy to follow in their instruction. My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday and honestly… best idea ever. We had SUCH a good time! Akram (instructor/owner) was so warm, so welcoming, and somehow makes you feel like you’ve known him forever within 5 minutes. He doesn’t just teach you, he shares his story, his culture, and his passion in a way that makes the whole experience feel really special. If you’re even slightly into crafting, just go. The piece turned out great. You choose your design from their selection and pick pre-cut glass colours, and meld them together. It's a bit expensive for what it is especially when our instructor wasn't that informative (he just gave us direct instructions without much explanation, and left us on our own) We also felt quite unwelcome in the studio, like we were disrupting his weekend lol
