Glamrose was a very popular choice of cake maker and provider up until recently. I recently ordered a cake and felt that standards had dropped. Interestingly, this establishment was recently awarded a 1 - need major improvement by the food standard agency. This extremely disappointing, and I will not be returning here. In addition, from local knowledge the owner recently purchased Rays ice cream - clearly it’s all too much for one person to manage. As a fellow baker was keen to try when a colleague brought in some of her bakes to work as leaving present. First presentation was mediocre, which set expectations for taste low. The custard cream brownie just tasted like sugar, couldn’t detect any chocolate, suspect low quality ingredients prob made just coco powder and not actual melted choc. Highly recommend GlamoRose Cakes! We requested a nut-free, vegan cake with a fireman theme, and they went above and beyond. The cake they created was not only visually stunning, but also incredibly moist and delicious, easily one of the best I’ve ever had. No one even realised it was vegan, and there wasn’t a single complaint from our guests!
