June 11, 2026 UPDATE: This service is much improved. The previous poor review may have been because GFL was new to our community and they had to work out some kinks. June 22. 2023. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Effective today I am looking for a new service. I have been with Waste Industries (formerly another name) for several years and have always paid my bill ahead of time, leaving me with a small credit. If I could rate zero stars I would. My trash has been waiting for pick up for 10 days. Twice their drivers have passed my house and not picked up the trash despite following all rules. Multiple calls have been made and still the garbage is outside. Have asked for a manager and they said they would send an email. They routinely pick up late or not at all. This is unacceptable in any industry. Absolutely terrible service.
Had them as our dumpster company for over 7 years and finally went to cancel their services due to the constant raising fees they add to our bill every month. It would literally go up month to month. When I went to cancel I was informed I was under a 5 year reoccurring agreement that could only be cancelled by a certified letter 90 days in advance. I called GFL on 3/9 to see if they serviced my address. They said yes created an account charged me nearly $200 to start. Was advised you will get your trash bin within 7-10 business days. The 12th business day came I put in a request asking when my bin will be delight said oh tomorrow. Longggg story short 3/30 I was told by Tonya who was amazing by the way advised me tha they don’t service my area.
