Two teenaged boys came to our house wanting us to switch to GFL. My husband told them that I didnt want to switch at this time. The kid said, "OH so she makes all the decisions, let me know when she raises your allowance". VERY disrespectful and not how you gain business. If I was thinking about switching companies I definitely won't be now. Very unprofessional.. or should I say VERY TRASHY.
Went to another dumpster service over 1/2 the price, 2 times the size of dumpster and twice the pickups. Wouldn't recommend GFL to anyone. Started out 3 yrs ago $42 a month for 2 pickups a month. When we left June 2026 it was $350 for a 2 yd dumpster at 2 pickups a month and we were lucky if they showed up once a month. Customer service was horrible and we were told that there was nothing they could do about it. Gfl is horrendous.
(Not sure if this is the correct one as there are seven gfl pages listed but this one links to their actual website so I'm assume it's it.) Beware of this company they prey on the elderly found out they locked my mother into a 5-year BUISNESS contract for her Residential Services that ended up ballooning the monthly payments from $73 to eventually $230 and when we talked to the person who originally signed her up for the contract he actually laughed saying well she signed it there's nothing she can do about it but pay the bi... read more
Service no performed with clear roads and no refunds for no service even with clear roads. Horrible service. Would never recommend.
So far I'm giving this place a 1 because I was waiting for over 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone and when they did they hung up. I am now calling back because I hate the trash service I'm with and hope I'm not making a mistake by trying them. Update... I in fact made a mistake and had to switch trash companies yet again. EVERYONE needs to go to Smith Trash Dash in lebanon Missouri. They are the best and they don't charge an arm and a leg.
