Excellent School! This school was an amazing discovery for us! My children are thriving academically, artistically, and socially at Kirby, and they are so happy there! College Prep With Heart We have two students currently enrolled at Kirby and one graduate. Excellent, committed faculty teaching high-caliber classes which prepare students not just to take, but to excel in, AP exams and college courses. Flexible curriculum permits students to follow their interests. Most important, no issues with burn-out. At Kirby it is possible to follow a challenging college prep program AND enjoy high school at the same time.

Love love love Kirby I recently graduated from Kirby, and leaving is a bittersweet experience. I am SO sad to leave the comfortable community, wonderful teachers, and dear friends, but I also feel that Kirby had prepared me extremely well to start college next year. I came from a public middle school, and immediately fell in love with everything about Kirby: the small classes, the accessible teachers, the delicious food. Excellent educational experience We have 2 students currently enrolled (8th and 11th), and one graduated in 2006 and now attending Princeton. We couldn't be happier with the school. As for the recommendation above that you send kids to public schools . . . seriously, have you seen what goes on there?

Too many PhDs with HUGE egos and not enough educators who care about the students. They are WASC accredited, but at a lower level than Santa Cruz High or PCS. Save your money for your kid's college fund.
