Always very interesting items for sale by Georgia (and often local) artists. There are two large sections of this shop. There is often hand-carved/hand-tooled furniture that is very sturdy. There are fine handwoven towels and scarves. There are locally made soaps. There are very nice pottery pieces and ceramics. There are usually some paintings and other local art. This is one of our favorite shops. Love that they feature local artists. So many gorgeous things to choose from. A great place to buy gifts.
We are camping with another couple nearby and were looking for something to do. My wife discovered the shop Genuine Georgia, which holds the key to visit the nearby jail. We went in to pick up the key for the old jail and found the lady running the shop to be delightful and full of information about the town and nearby attractions. Although the shop wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea, my wife and our friends’ wife really enjoyed it and plan to return on our next trip to buy some things.
