Marginal at best I've been to Durant's twice. The first time the service was great, the food was pretty good and the overall experience was definitely worth returning on a future date. However, the second time I went, they lost our reservation and then wouldn't bother to accommodate us. They literally had people coming in, without reservations, who were then seated before us. Needless to say I haven't been back and I won't go back. There are too many great restaurants in Phoenix to go through that again.
Not bad, not great The service was excellent. The food was ok, but not great for the price. It was a good experience overall. The desert was phenomenal. I would recommend trying it, but will not be a regular patron.
Not all it's supposed to be.... We had dinner here the other night and were quite excited to try out and "old Phoenix establishment". It was a bit disappointing. Very pricey, small, crowded and the location was really undesirable. Additionally, my husbands New York Strip was very fatty and for the price you're paying - it really shouldn't be! Other than going just to see what it's like - I wouldn't recommend it and we have agreed, no reason to return. There are just too many other great steak house around to go back there.
Fine dining on Central Ave This is supposed to be a fancy fine dining place. I found the food to be only okay and pricey. They have valet service and the inside is formal. They don't allow any cell phone use inside either. I tried it once but don't plan on going back anytime soon. Try the Wild Thaiger 2 doors down!
