Best Buy claims on their website they will install any type of equipment, even if you don’t buy from them. I took an aftermarket equipment over and the technician refused to do the service. Instead he wanted to sell me his aftermarket equipment for $600. I have raised this to Best Buy corporate as they should change their service description on the website as it is misleading and can be seen as false advertisement.

Using the Geek Squad was very tedious. I bought a phone that has insurance coverage. I went to my nearest location where I bought the phone and in order to get it fixed I had to take it to another location, which is outside the city. Granted, they did an excellent job of fixing my phone, but the drive back and forth to get it fixed ruined the experience.
