I brought my MacBook to Geek Squad (worked with Aiden) for a stuck key. After they “cleaned” it, I found splatters of 99% isopropyl alcohol across my keyboard, and several keys started falling off. When I went back, neither the technician nor the manager would take responsibility and told me I’d have to pay to send it to Apple because there was a fee for Apple Care. Had a fan that was noisy on my PC, came here because I have the Best Buy warranty plan that includes service through Geek Squad. Not keen on returning after my experience. Was told it might be a quick fix, basically told them I just wanted a deeper clean than I was able to do at home, and to check out the fan noise. 3 days, and what would have been a $350 charge later, but was free through warranty services, they apparently ran a bunch of software diagnostics that I didn't think were necessary just to tell me the noise can't... read more
