Sent laptop for repair under warranty. They physically inspected it and found it to be in warranty condition. Now they want to charge me for water damage. I don’t see how that’s possible. It wasnt near water. The biggest problem is that they sent a link saying it was on hold, info in service details. The service details had no info other than owing $85 and that my service was on hold. Not easy to get through to a human being on the phone.
Geek Squad attendant was rude, acted like he didn’t want to help me. I just bought I new laptop and needed help setting up and transferring data from old computer. He said “It’s already set up, your name is right there”. I know there is a lot more to customizing a set up. Also, I couldn’t pick and choose what data I wanted transferred. Had to be “all or nothing”. I may have been confused about the services that I get with buying their protection/service plan. Showed up very early to pick up a laptop for my son's high school to college birthday present, they said they'd need to work thru the programming on the laptop to get it ready at geek squad, we came back and they said no it won't be ready wifi was being slow( not sure why a computer repair shop is at the Leasure of wifi and not hard wired) so that wrecked the big present for our son as it would not be ready, even though we showed up at about 4:15 and had until 6:20 when we came to pick up.
