When I asked for help with data recovery on my MacBook, the guy just pulled up Google on his phone and recommended some basic troubleshooting steps. I thought Geek Squad would have more troubleshooting information beyond a simple 1 minute Google search. I realize my data issue wouldn’t be a quick fix, if it could be fixed at all. However, the minimal effort that the employee here put in was worth less than nothing. This service was embarrassing to Best Buy and Geek Squad.
After all of my experiences here, the name best buy is no longer synonymous with trustworthy, nor will it be a place I consider for new tech releases. From a business standpoint, I don't feel my information is safe with some of the questionable stuff the employees are occupying themselves with. If I could have never had a transaction here, I would in a heartbeat. Terrible Customer Service, they didnt even log me back into my phone so now I have to go to apple support to fix it, Completely useless
