I’m highly recommending you don’t go to Geek Squad for iPhone repairs at Best Buy in New Hartford. I’ve been through a three week ringer over getting my battery replaced that escalated into an entire internal mid system replacement due to my volume down button not working after I received it. After bringing it back and getting the mid system replaced the phone was reset and it treated that as a new phone that I didn’t have a “previous” iPhone to recover the back up from. Unbelievable employee. Both I and my wife met with ALEX concerning a few problems with our new phones. He took the time and explained everything to us to the T. A very remarkable employee. I had questions on another matter a few days later and once again walked through the process and cleared the problem. There was no hesitation, very friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable with the abilities of his job. Give this employee a 10+++
TLDR: Don’t use Geek Squad for Apple products. Go directly to an Apple Store. What happened: Brought in an iPhone for a battery replacement covered by AppleCare. Was first told by check in agent it would be a $100 deductible. Luckily, I had the service confirmation that showed battery service was completely covered. He had to call Apple and figure it out, but we got that taken care of. Ordered a computer online. N to have it downloaded n started. For ready pick up. Paid for everything to have this done. Came in to get it told me to make an appointment for this. Just waNted it checked in to have this done. They was rude a guy with half purple hair n an African American was rude also. I have been waiting.
