GECU has become a joke of an establishment. They qualified me for a car loan of $35,700 at 5.99 apr with payments of $644 over 72 months and then changed their offer last minute to only finance $32,700 and I had to put $4,000 as a down payment to approve the loan. I ended up going through the dealership and financed $36,701 at 6.9 apr with a payment of only $620 a month over 72 months with no money down. I have been with this credit union since 2009. The only loans i've ever gotten approved are secure loans meaning loans on my own money. Any new members, any Youngsters looking for a Start up Program To establish credit, Don't Go with GECU. Look Around First. Don't Believe the Hype.
