Worst Internet I've ever had, paid for "1gb speeds" fastest plan. Got maybe 100mbps if I was lucky. Called customer support to be explained that they don't know what's going on or to upgrade my plan, transfered 3 times to rexplain my issues to each person. Go with another company
Sam (Samuel) is awesome! We’ve come to the GCI store twice, and both times he helped us right away and made everything super easy. He’s friendly, patient, and really knows what he’s doing. We’ll definitely ask for him again next time.
The prices are going up way to much and I hate the call center the company contracts out to handle their customer service. The only reason GCI is used is because they hardly have any competition.
Carter at GCI in Fairbanks screwed me on 9/20/25 at 2pm. We wanted to switch our service from TMobile to GCI as TMobile does not have sufficient service in Alaska and our phones are constantly on roaming data. Carter asked if our phones were unlocked and we were under the impression they were. Without checking the settings, Carter deactivated our service with TMobile and ported our numbers.
