Easily one of the worst internet experiences. From random drops to shitty customer service and tech support. I called a tech to report ping issues and he told me there was nothing he could do unless i switched to GCI's router. For 180$ a month there should be no issues but instead were stuck with a company that actually doesn't care. Would give 0 stars if it was an option.
We experienced numerous issues with the service despite subscribing to the highest package available. Additionally, when we canceled, we were charged for an entire month of service even though the cancellation occurred only five days into the billing cycle. This was disappointing and did not meet our expectations for customer service or billing practices.
I have been a customer with GCI for 8 years now. I have never been particularly thrilled with the service, but my most recent experience has left me extremely frustrated, and quite frankly, feeling screwed. My billing cycle starts on the 5th of each month. I came in prior to then to cancel my internet line. This was at a house that we no longer lived in, that was under contract to sell. We missed 1 payment and then I paid the next day and we've been without wifi for 2 days they won't be able to send anyone over for 5 more days. 185 payment for no reason. GCI is the worst provider especially when you have a work-from-home job like me. Update canceled our wifi since we're finally off base and found out we were paying for a phone line that was not my husband's number or mine... Check y'alls bills because neither one of us were aware of this. GCI are scammers!
Worst internet service ever, they over charge for “unlimited” wifi and then you wont be able to use it for days on end.
