A quaint sweet shop with a lot of integrity, walking into Gayety’s felt like walking into a Time Machine. The business has been in operation for over 80 years, and I could quickly tell why. The no frills menu and delicious offerings makes for a great place for families as well as date nights. The lady that was helping customers was very friendly and efficient. I had the praline scoop and my Aunt ordered the black walnut and both were exceptional. I will definitely be returning!
If you want the best experience at Gaty’s Ice Cream Shop, make sure you dine in! And when you order, ask for your ice cream in the glass dish instead of a to-go container. Trust me—the presentation is so much prettier and makes the experience feel extra special. My biggest recommendation is the Caramel Praline flavor. My family has gone to Gayety's for at least 4 generations. I am so grateful that my cousin Laurene revived this special place. I love the chocolates, ice cream, and the vibe of this old school candy and ice cream parlor.
