I found Gates Antiques while searching for a specific American artist of the late 19th century. Jay and his staff were very helpful and timely in responding to multiple questions that I had on the piece and provided high resolution images of the painting to confirm the condition and authenticity of the work. My parents passed away, so I visited their website and sent them a email asking if they had any interest in a 1980 organ, 2 wooden bedframes from around 1920 and a kitchen table and chairs from about 1920.. Now it has been over 2 weeks and no response. Would take them less than 10 seconds to email back to me the words "No interest in them". I just trying to find more usage of these items. Good people! I called Jay & Stephanie to ask about the care and proper cleaning of my antique furniture. They took the time to give me quality and thoughtful advice.
