I have banked with GC for probably 10+ years as well as I also work for another Financial Istitution in town. BUT I discovered today that even after the ruling in 2024/2025 CFPB case they are still continuing the previously deemed wrongful and criminal practice of charging customers multiple times for 1 overdraft event. When I called and asked them about this not only was I lied to and told all banks do this(absolutely not, they dont) but i was also told "we did nothing wrong back then". I've been with this bank my whole life and originally chose it because they have cookies. The previous town I just moved from had 3 gate city banks and whenever I went to one of them they always had them. I've been to this location probably 8 times now since I've moved to town and theres literally never any cookies. I've seen people grab 3 of them just for themselves before I get a chance to grab one and then there are none left.
