Found the beginning pottery wheel class on Groupon and scheduled my visit, with my gf, for a Tuesday night. Mara was our teacher, with 4 other beginners there, she was super helpful, very patient, and great energy to be around. 10/10 recommend for learning something new and doing something out of the ordinary. The lady Jo on the phone was very pleasant too.
I took a beginner throwing course with my friend today and it has been one of the most enjoyable, kinda thrilling, activity we have done in a while. Silvana was our instructor tonight and honestly she was amazing. She took the time to explain everything step by step, checked in with us to ensure we were following along. JO was great. The staff were very patient. It was my first time doing mosaic and it was very fun. The art in the establishment is wonderful. Hailey, the gentle giant dog is a treat. There were so many different art classes to peak your interests. Pottery making, painting, mosaics, and so much more.
It's a real pleasure working with Gasper Arts Center and their incredible staff... As an Artist+ Curator with deep roots in South Florida, I would recommend this place to anyone interested in making art or getting involved in a great studio community.
What a magical pottery studio!The space is welcoming, creative, and inspiring. The instructors are incredibly talented, patient, and encouraging—making the experience enjoyable whether you’re a total beginner or more experienced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a creative, hands-on experience!
