Garven Store has been family owned and operated since 1932. Beef Jerky, canned foods, brisket, sausage, knives, and gasoline have always been sold throughout it's entire history. We have patio seating, clean restrooms, cold drinks(soda,beer), a wealth of local information, and friendly service. Garven Store is known as the oldest landmark in Texas as well as one of the oldest convenience stores in the United States.

Vince and Tom, the guys that run the place, are some solid Texans through and through. Stopped in here about four years ago and always take some time to check in and hang out with the boys when I’m down there bowhunting. They make a hell of a brisket sandwich and top shelf jerky. I see some people complaining about prices, but it’s literally the only place to get gas and snacks for miles so what do you expect. The guy at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The store was very cool and there are chickens and a cat outside
Got gas and some amazing jerky. Exotic jerky from buffalo to venison. I will always stop when passing by.
