My dad passed away in 2018 and my brother paid $1,000 up front for their services for his estate. We were advised not to pay any taxes on the place and that’s not true because now apparently whoever pays taxes on it can have it. They said it also had to be an absolute auction, which a county clerk said was not true and that it sounds like they’re just trying to get some land.
