NIGHTMARE MARKET!!! BEWARE!!! – 12/19/2010 after 9pm The Manager discriminates against non-whites. His attitude is rude, inappropriate, and outwardly hostile towards non-whites. Apparently the latest generation of late 20s, early 30s Italian born immigrants are about as open minded as Mussolini Himself. Better not to support such racist establishments. And the fish and meats aren't fresh, which is why they're not selling. Plenty of other Gourmet Markets available with better prices.
WARNING TO BUISNESSES – I ORDERED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS WORTH OF FOOD FOR IMPORTANT CLIENTS. THE FOOD AND DRINKS ARRIVES. NO PAPER PLATES, NO FORKS OR KNIVES OR NAPKINS. WHEN I CALL TO COMPLAIN THEY HAD A BAD ATTITUDE AND SAID I NEEDED TO ASK FOR IT AND PAY EXTRA. TERRIBLE BUISNESS AND BAD ATTITUDES. STAY AWAY!
Great gourmet grocery store – I live right down the street and pretty much shop there every week. I find the produce to be cheaper and better then Whole Foods most of the time and they have an excellent selection of cheeses, olives, and organic everything.

After that I couldn't eat anything from the place and I threw away the whole package, even the samlon slices I got. Bad memory kills all the appetite!
Great "shop" – I cant bring myself to call the Garden of Eden a "store". It is much more then that. The food is great and what variety! I LOVE the bread, it is the ONLY place I get my sourdough. Cant say enough and not too expensive.
A truly amazing array of some of the best gourmet foodstuffs in the city. – The Scene This meticulously clean and densely packed gourmet food store is a model of organization. Everything has its designated place, and despite the close quarters, navigation is relatively easy. Garden of Eden attracts both foodies from all over and neighborhood types who've stopped in to pick the very wise brains of the men and women in white coats who work here. The Goods As you walk in you pass the bakery; next comes the homemade bread area, ... read more
