I went in to try on a skirt and they were out of stock even though they said online that they had it in multiple colors. I asked if they could check in the back but the sales associate didn’t want to and claimed that he already did. Unlikely.
Despite an advertised additional 40% off, items were billed incorrectly and I was overcharged by nearly $47. I raised the issue at checkout, but the sales associate failed to properly verify the discounts and reassured me the pricing was correct. After checking online later, I realized I had paid significantly more for the exact same items. GAP company and all its sister brands seem to be going downhill. When your online order is missing items, a company's priority should be about making it right for the customer. Their 1-800 customer service line, however, was dismally poor. Their Dispute Department was even worse - a department full of idiot clowns with very poor reasoning / resolution skills. In my entire 20+ years of shopping I never encountered such a crooked company like GAP and Old Navy. What initially started off as a routine return procedure via their "e gift card" scheme turned out to be a total disaster that I would never wish upon my worst enemy. Long story short, the e gift card links they send out EXPIRE after 6 months and the ridiculous thing is that they don't tell you at all about this, nor do they keep records of the gift card details either.
