Big GAP store This GAP store is pretty big because it's located on 3rd Streemt Promenade in Santa Monica. Although the store is big, the clothes there were not too great. The selection was only mediocre and the staff there were rude and unpleasant. When my wife asked them for a size that wasn't on the rack, the saleslady was rude and reluctant to help.
Stylish Clothes That Are Worth It When on Sale I went to this store during a spring new wardrobe shopping spree to see what they had, and was able to get a very nice, stylish, black wrap sweater for $20 or less. I was impressed with their choice of colors and up-to-date styles, and was glad I walked in during their winter clearance sale. If I weren't on a budget, I would've bought more clothes! Best of all, I love the dark blue plastic bag with the thick rope string that they put your purchases in. I've used the bag to carry... read more
Nice Salespeople I'm going to have to refute the earlier reviews and say that this is a very nice Gap; large store, friendly store people. The salespeople were very kind to me and a colleague when we were fundraising for a UCLA organization and asking for contributions or clothing sponsorships for a professional/business casual fashion show. The location is great too; right on third street.
The Gap is a Gap in Style The Gap pretty much explains itself. It is generic but has utility basics. Too much beige for my skin tone, but you might enjoy the blandness of it all. The area is fun to walk around in, the 3rd Street Promenade promises to be fun for all ages. If you haven't been to the Gap, you're not really missing anything, because they have enough commercials on TV so you really can't miss them! I wouldn't recommend going to a Gap store for fun.
Gap I'm sure everyone has gone into a Gap store before and probably have bought something from there in the past. I walked into this Gap store located on Santa Monica's 3rd street promenade when I first moved to LA a couple of months ago. I have to say that I was very impressed with their huge selection of clothes, but the sales people there were not very friendly at all. I walked the whole second floor going through aisle but aisle and even went to the fitting room twice to try on clothes but not even ONE sales person came ... read more
I've had a Gap gift card that I haven't been able to spend for the past three years. Gap gear is comfortable, but it's plain. Contrary to what their commercials suggest, I can't dazzle a crowd with my Gap clothes. I tend to wear Gap shirts as an undershirt, if anything. I did spot a pretty sweater at Gap today, but they sell the same sweater at Urban Outfitter. For the prices they charge, I'd expect something more unique.
Gap has a 4.3 star rating with 109 reviews.
Gap is open now. It will close at 10:00 p.m.
