Gabriel's located on Curry road in Rotterdam was opened by Rudy Gabriele Sr. and his father William Gabriele. In 1978 Rudy's two sons Rudy Jr. and Jeff took over the Rotterdam store. This place has THE BEST meats anywhere. Their deli meats are the best quality, and I am now ruined from ever eating hamburger, steak, or any other cuts of beef from anywhere else. They're small and not a discount place, so it's tough to do weekly shopping here, but they try to stock a variety, they're responsive to feedback, and they have some amazing specialty items. This is the best example of IGA done right to meet the needs of its community.
