This office ignored my communication access needs for 3 business days. The receptionist even told me to bring my own sign language interpreter, which is illegal under ADA law. I explained how to set up Video Remote Interpreter, yet they took no action. Clearly, staff are not trained on ADA Section 3—it’s the law, not an option. Patients deserve equal access. Wow. This practice is awesome. I have had some vertigo, so my ENT referred me to Fyzical for an evaluation. I saw Erica Hood for two sessions of assessments. The first visit, I had a VNG test, where they use specialized goggles to monitor eye movements. Today, I had the CDP test, which is a virtual reality setup to tease out which of three body systems is impacting balance. It felt pretty weird at times, but I felt totally safe & supported.
