It was our first time purchasing a brand new sofa so we were a little apprehensive as it can be overwhelming trying to make a decision! My daughter bought an ottoman bed less than 3 years ago and the mechanism has broken, the bed "stuck" in the open position so was unuseable as a bed. It took 3 weeks for Furniture Village to send someone to look at it so in the meantime my daughter and her partner have had to sleep on the floor. FV are offering half of the purchase price and state that their contract only covers beds for 2 years. We went to furniture village without much idea as to what type of bed would suit us best. Syan did such a fantastic job showing us the different options. She was so helpful the first time that we visited that we drove 30 minutes to reach the Farnborough branch so that she could give us some extra advice and help us go through with the purchase. If you need a new bed, ask for Syan!
Do not believe the ‘20 year structural guarantee’ or that you can ‘buy our furniture with complete confidence’. Our bed broke in less than 3 years and after FV sent out a man to look at the bed who confirmed it was a fault in the structural integrity of the bed and it would have always broken, FV have said I will still need to pay for 50% of the replacement bed.
