Grew up in the Sault. Recently moved and returned for a short visit. I had only one day to visit downtown and it was a Monday. Every candy store was closed except this one. Maybe my first sign to not buy anything. I’ve been dreaming of the freshwater taffy ever since I left so I bought the largest assorted size they had. Very nice guy helping us. Didn't try any samples (not sure if they offered them or not) Can get half or whole slices. We got the peanut butter cup flavor. It was soft, had very good peanuty flavor and wasn't too sweet. Would definitely recommend after seeing the boats go through the locks.
