Took the ferry out to Egmont Key and the crew was the absolute best! They gave so much information about the island and the area around, they even took us back the scenic route so we could see the big barges dredging. Egmont has been on my list of places to explore and the shelling did not disappoint! I cannot wait to return and explore more of the beaches and inner island.
Really enjoyed my time on the ferry and Shell Key Island. Shout out to Capt. Mike and Leah for such a great trip!
A short ride to the island. Not a bad price for a round trip. Pleasant staff. However, this ferry is a good example of how tipping culture is out of hand. I ALWAYS tip and I usually tip 30% or more. And I tipped on this boat ride. HOWEVER, on a small boat, there were 2 tip jars, signs encouraging tips, a QR code for tips AND in the 20 minutes there, tipping was mentioned 2x.....a little overkills IMO

After a two-hour drive, I realized my phone was at 2% — total panic — but they were so helpful, letting me plug it in and guiding me through parking without any stress. The island itself? We had an amazing time! Family friendly fun. They even made my kids necklaces with a shell they found. Leah and Captain Greg were great!
