Great value, loved it. Very nice for the price. Canoes, kayaks, pedal boards life jackets.
Although this camp appears to have shut down, I feel it’s still important to share my experience for the sake of transparency and to stand up for the youth, animals, and staff who may have also been affected. I worked here after having attended as a camper years prior. I was genuinely excited to come back and work with kids but what I encountered behind the scenes was extremely troubling. We had a lovely time at this transitioning retreat. This is not a horse summer camp anymore. For their first summer Cathy and her husband are proposing different options to stay : the farmhouse, domes and RVs. It is a great site with a river to swim in. Kayaks and canoes are also available. They have a lot of recreational facilities : kids playgrounds, pedal go-carts and a basketball court. We are sure that with time and continued care this place will become a 5 star destination.
Hey its Melina, There are several concerning issues with this place that MUST be addressed The horses are not being cared for properly. Their hooves are overgrown and it’s difficult to clean them, indicating that they are rarely seen by farriers as often as they should be. There is glass in the riding area where children are present, which poses a significant hazard. What if a horse gets spooked, or a child gets hurt? Nous avons loué un dôme pour passer quelques jours, c’était génial. Les propriétaires étaient adorables, très serviables et accueillants. Sans parler du dôme avec vue sur les étoiles depuis le lit… Magique. De super moments, le matin dans le dôme tranquillement, la journée en canoë, jusqu’au soir à côté du feu de camp.
