Friday ARTini: horribly disappointing waste of time and money. – The Friday Night "ARTini" is advertised as an opportunity to have some drinks, view art, and hear someone knowledgable speak about some of the works. Our group of seven showed up, purchased admission, and got in line at the little bar. A single bartender s l o w l y made $7.00 cosmos for about half the people in our group. Finally we were all served and started into the gallery. No drinks allowed in the gallery. Your kidding! Seems like they could have told us ... read more

Pleasantly surprised – I know, it shouldn't be a surprise to get a tasty, fresh, well-priced lunch out that is worth raving about, but I don't remember the last time I did. Until today! I had to grab a quick lunch to-go after visiting the Frist Center and not only was the tuna melt and fruit salad delicious, fresh AND quickly made, but the portions were more than worth the price. And if you aren't that hungry, they offer half sandwiches. But $5.95 or $6.95 for a large, yummy sandwich and a large portion of fruit on the side?... read more

Great Vegeterian Variety – Every time I visit I make a point to eat in the cafeteria... FRESH Vegeterian choices........ The THURSDAY EVENING Venues are a bit confusing since they are located in the hallway...no seating...crowded...difficult to enjoy and relax....... The venues/exhibits are some of the best that I've visited...extremely user friendly

The food isn't the art, but you won't go hungry at this chic museum cafe. – In Short With its sleek design and serviceable menu, the cafe is a pleasant spot to take a breather after pondering the latest art exhibits. Standard lunch fare--salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps--adequately satisfy local office workers and tourists. Pizza of the day with a crisp side salad makes for a tasty lunch. Fresh, tasty sandwiches like the roast beef with portobello mushrooms and the grilled vegetable wrap are big enough to share.

for good art seekers – thanks to the frist, art which has before stayed away from nashville, citizens can now be exposed to good art in a great setting..though a bit pricey it is usually worth the trip to see their great exhibitions....its like a miniature museam of modern art ....

"Art at its Finest" – The greatest part of the Frist Center is the hands on art projects. This is a wonderful place to bring your kids and let them experience art in its truest form.

this center was made for walking – An incredible place to friends from out of town, lots to see, but plan on standing on your feet and walking a lot. There are a few benches to sit on, but not many. A definite place to go on a cold or rainy day when outdoor attractions are out.

Frist is first rate – Finally -- a visual arts hall worthy of a city of Nashville's size. They designers did a great job keeping the old deco feel from the old post office while incorparating new elements into the Center. The collections thus far have been interesting and look forward to even more as the Center becomes established. The interactive area for kids is entertaining and draws surprisingly well. Parking is available behind the building.
