Previously I have bought many things at Friendly Pets including a rabbit, various pet foods and a lobster. My last and I mean last visit, I bought a glass aquarium top. I took it home and started to assemble it. The glass top cracked in my hands and came close to cutting my arm. I took the defective piece back to Friendly Pets. One of the managers told me there was nothing they could do for me, no exchange, no refund, nothing. Very cold, not helpful at all. That $25 loss on my end cost them a customer and I'll do what I can ... read more
Don't buy yor fish from this place.....I have had an established tank for 3 years and I wanted a congo tetra. I found one here after putting it in my tank all my fish are dying from ick. I will keep you updated if I chose to take legal action against this stoe.......
I bought a SUPPOSEDLY Lhasa aspo from friendly pets after recently losing our previous Lhasa and I took her to the vet for her check up and asked if she really was a pure breed like friendly pets told me!!! and GAVE me a pedigree paper stating she is 100% pure. That the mom and dad were both Lhasa aspos which was completely false!! We noticed she was extremely too big to be only 5 months old. The vet confirmed by her teeth that she is pekingese, shih tzu, and Lhasa we paid 1300 for a mixed breed which is a total rip of and ... read more
Friendly pets is an antiquated, overpriced, abusive puppy mill. They should be shut down immediately. Went to take my daughter to see puppies as a celebration and we both ended up completely devastated at what we saw. For an hour the staff allowed a very small puppy to be attacked by much larger dogs. I asked them to move the small dog and the staff was completely rude and was only concerned about purchasing the $3000 dog that had clearly been mistreated the last 3 months that it's been there. The dog's spirit was completely... read more
If you want to support animal abuse, look no further! This store and its employees pride themselves on being the only pet store in the county that sells puppies! Sells, not adopts. That's right, an employee bragged about it and yes, they are from puppy mills! Don't believe me? You shouldn't, I'm a stranger, but this might convince you: https://bailingoutbenji.com/puppy-mill-maps/cvi-data/north-carolina/?fbclid=IwAR0fESSnAyHgPrnMewZwvEFDCLXQXsWGVDBlnv9nJynlfvkoCEEzdMN7v_Q yes, there is proof. My dogs are rescued from a busted... read more
Puppy mills and abuse!! If you read google reviews for this place, youll see dozens of people say they have bought an animal from Friendly Pets that was seriously sick. Sometimes things as serious as Parvo, and seriously bacterial infections that can spread to your other pets upon taking them home. Had to come in and check it out for myself, and watched for two hours as dogs laid two inches above their own feces and urine, practically breathing it in while employees lollygagged around ignoring it. Very occasionally when they... read more
DO NOT ADOPT FROM FRIENDLY PETS! We adopted what we naively assumed was a calm, well-mannered kitten. Unfortunately his mannerisms were not character traits, but symptoms. It turns out, our poor kitten was lethargic, and diarrhea-ridden with a painful, swollen stomach -- due to a roundworm infection. On top of this roundworm infection, his ear, and its hairless patch, which we originally thought was the result of some over-eager scratching, was due to a fungal ear infection. As a relatively inexperienced cat-owner, I had no ... read more
If it was possible to give this place less than one star bet a lot of people would. We went to this location to get a dog for Christmas to help me with my intense anxiety. It was not until after we agreed to buy the puppy did they inform us that she has a little runny stool and to us these unidentifiable tablets in her food to help her. Even the vet we took her too had no idea what they were. After only having my beautiful puppy for three days we have had to take her to the vet 2 times and ended up with 400 dollars in bills.... read more
The employees here (which are just inexperienced teenagers) are very rude. I was waiting in line to ask a young lady if she would allow me and my friend to hold a puppy, and she purposely skipped me and ask the person behind me what their question was. I feel as if this pet store is not what the claim to be and also the puppies are kept in horrible conditions they are kept in small little cages with their waste everywhere and the employees claim to let them out everyday and play with them. I was not pleased with my visit her... read more
