Had two chairs that needed work — one needed cane weaving, the other needed split reed. Deb and Mitch AKA Friend of Furniture were quick to respond to my inquiry, completed the new seats quickly and were a delight to work with. Very pleased to have found them — their work is beautiful!

I very special thanks to Mitch & Deb @ Friend of Furniture. I originally had dropped off my nightstand & asked could they just paint it, since I thought there was no way to bring it back. Much to my surprise Mitch was able to restore her , better than I could have hoped for. It’s great when you can still find a “ craftsman “ who knows what they’re doing. I still can’t believe how well it turned out…plus…they’re two really nice, professional & polite folks that I enjoyed doing business with.

We inherited Hitchcock chairs which we use at the dinner table daily. Mitch has recaned them for us in 1's and 2's as the original caning has worn out, and they always look great, blending in with the original we still have, matching his own previously recaned ones so perfectly we can't tell which were recaned when. So glad to have found Friend of Furniture!

I have had a Charles Dickens desk and matching chair for over 30 years. It has become a valuable part of our household furniture. The woven cane bottom of the chair finally gave out and I wanted to get it fixed so that it would look and feel like new. I called Furniture Restoration in Asheville. I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship, their friendly attitude and the reasonable price. I would definitely use them again. Mitch even polished the whole chair after he was done.

Great folks doing great work. Re-caned 2 chairs in different styles and repaired a broken leg on a midcentury end table.
