I had two chairs redone by Mitch. They were done in a timely manner, and given the excellent craftsmanship, the work was very reasonably priced. The chairs are gorgeous. I’ve worked with other furniture repair people before, and Mitch far exceeded my expectations.
Mitch and Deb were delightful to work with and my beat-up table looks fabulous!! I will definitely use them again!!!!
If you need old furniture restored to its original beauty, Friend of Furniture is the place to go. Deb and Mitch seem to be able to perform miracles!
This is now the second chair I have had done. These folks are amazing! You never need to question if it will be done right. It will be better than new. This chair had birds eye maple in it and we never saw the "eyes" in the wood. Mitch was able to bring them out and it is just beautiful. These people are so nice, they truly care about what they do, and are a pleasure to deal with. It's refreshing to find people that know what true customer service is and exemplify it. I highly recommend Mitch & Deb. They're not only accomplished artisans, they're also among the nicest people I've ever met. My old cane back and cane seat chairs (circa 1905) were not in good shape. Sad looking. Ripped cane, rough wood, etc. Mitch did just an incredible job bringing them back to life. (See photos below). I'm sitting in one of them now as I write this review. Thanks, you guys. Beautiful work.
