They refused to give me copies of my counseling records during the course of a divorce. I went to counseling because my husband was/is an abuser. If they ever refuse to give you copies of records for counseling I would highly recommend contacting an attorney. They have to have VERY SOLID reasons to with hold your information. When I asked why, I was told they would call the police if I persisted to ask. Really? Yes, Really. Should have sued the business and the counselors involved.
