I should have just done the paperwork myself. The lawyer I was assigned to help with my name change was nice at first but made it abundantly clear that I was not a priority. I received very few updates (days, sometimes weeks after information was posted to the case search website), was not provided important information, forms got "lost" in the mail or sent to the wrong address.
