If I could give zero, I would. This company has cost me time, money, and peace of mind. I would never recommend this mortgage company to anyone—especially if you’re trying to get ahead financially or protect your credit. They reported inaccurate information to the credit bureaus, damaging the credit score I spent so long building. Mind you I’ve never ever missed a payment with them since owning my home. Hands down the worst mortgage company of the 6 or so I have worked with. I had a full property tax exemption for a few years, including when Freedom acquired my mortgage. Mid-way through 2023 it took me a number of phone calls over many weeks to get them to finally calculate taxes and adjust my mortgage payment. Then in 2024, to estimate my property taxes, they simply used what I owed/paid in 2023. Well 2023 was only half a year.
