If I could give zero stars I would… customer service is very condescending, is not very helpful, and doesn’t meet reasonable deadlines. My client had to wait several days to get his payoff and breach a contract Freedom Mortgage was well aware of.
I'm wondering if the reviewers are working with the same company as me. I have had zero issues with Freedom and I've been with them for years. They've helped resolve any issues of late payment, etc. Their online platform is just fine, very easy to navigate and I can always get a person on the phone. I also had an insurance claim for a fallen tree on my property and Freedom, while offered to be a third party to the payout, let the insurer work directly with me. My mortgage was sold to freedom mortgage when I first bought my house 3 years ago. Their customer service was not terrible but early this year I refinanced out of that note for a lower rate. Now 5 months later I am getting numerous spam phone calls a day from other lenders saying I applied to refinance with them. When I ask how they got my information they all say Freedom mortgage gave them my contact information. I got 15 spam calls just yesterday. This has to be the worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with in my life. You cannot get an answer. You get transferred 20 times. No one helps you. I hate this company.
I had a very disappointing experience with this mortgage company. They charged multiple fees that were never clearly explained or disclosed upfront. Costs appeared throughout the process, which felt dishonest and misleading. Transparency and trust are extremely important when dealing with something as serious as a mortgage, and unfortunately this company failed in both areas. . Based on my experience, I would not trust this company again.
