I tried to give this situation the benefit of the doubt, but the more I unpack it, the worse it gets. I rented a vehicle from Freedom Auto Rentals for $990 for two weeks. Within two days, the check engine light came on, and shortly after, the car completely died. Wouldn’t turn over at all. I was stranded and had to leave it in a parking lot, pay for a Lyft, and spend another $900 out of pocket just to get a replacement rental so I could keep moving.
