Total rip off. A simple FSBO which both the attorney and his assistant would probably be more than covered by my $500 retainer. All he did was review my filling out a boilerplate contract. There was nothing extraordinary about the transaction. Ended up being billed almost $800. Billed me for things like conversations between lawyer and his assistant and for calling ME to ask ME how I wanted him to handle the transaction. I can't believe what low-lifes they are.
