This is a very corrupt office headed by Mellisa Clawson. First off, they will fleece you on your taxes if you don’t know any math, yes you will be taken advantage of and if you request them to put it in writing, they will not do so because they know they are stealing from people. They ask that checks be addressed to Melissa, yet they should be addressed to the tax office. 72 years old, pre-osteoporosis, steps, sidewalk, everything covered in ice, and it is sleeting at my house. I call the Tax Office to ask about a 2 or 3 day extension so as not to be charged a month's penalty on my land taxes. I was told, "No , WE'RE HERE." about 3 times. So I bundle up, my husband supporting me to get to my truck, and we arrive at the Tax Office forty-five minutes later.
