It is a shame when disgruntled staff who leave with no notice try and tarnish the name of a good care home. Especially when they’re very lazy and didn’t like being addressed by the manager. The Clair Francis is a very nice home. It is an older building but it is updated regularly and improved ongoing like all homes are. The staff are helpful and caring, as stated by ALL authorities and family members. There are always room for improvements, unfortunately some characters can’t! Luckily they leave! I am a former employee of this care home. I was there 6 weeks before walking out! Where do I start… Damp mouldy rooms for residents to sleep in, food delivered in foil trays to warm up basically feeding the residents ready meals. And worst of all is the way residents are treated by some of the staff (not all I hasten to add) I witnessed residents being ridiculed for being incontinent, told to sit down all the time even if just trying to get to the toilet, and general bullying by staff. Lovely place, the carers are doing their best to provide the residents with a good level of care and committed to their job
